Foundation in Business (FIB) is a business-focused Pre-University programme to prepare you for a degree in Business. This course can be taken after completing SPM, and can be considered as a Year 12 qualification, which is equivalent to STPM or Malaysian Matriculation (Matrikulasi).
In Malaysia, a Foundation in Business is a direct pathway into a university’s degree programme. Completing a Foundation in Business will allow you to continue on with an undergraduate degree at the same university. Degree options include Accounting, Finance, Economics, Marketing and International Business.
Most Foundation in Business courses are a combination of coursework and final exams. Every university’s Foundation in Business programme is different, as it is fully administered by the university itself. This means that your syllabus is designed to prepare you for a business-related degree at the same university.
